Thanks, I made the art too! Idk, I’m not much of a story writer…just mainly poetry. I mean I’ve been told I tell stories in my visual art, but I can’t seem to continue on with it. I wish I could write like Singledust’s colored lines story. I feel like we are all synchronized in this world. Some are better at interpreting the signs.

Excellent! Is all the art work on your blog you own then? And I would agree, poetry and visuals weave their own stories. Is good to try a medium that makes you question yourself. Sure you’d be great at it..the creativity normally finds an outlet. If I were pushy, I would urge you to give one a go…hehe. Maybe I should paint, I cannot do that for the life of me….And yes, the coloured lines is very good and is a personal read I find. (here’s to ALL of us)

The hospital for surgery and then staying home for a week for recovery. I would just die to see Europe or anywhere overseas…Thanks, the show is an August but I have several things left to do. Including poems with my sculptures. Dark and clichéd is still 👌

Hawaii and 🍍 sounds lovely. No Girl Interrupted…lol…it will be a helpful surgery. It is a group show about artistic processes. My process usually involves writing poems. I either write a poem and then make a piece or the other way around. I’m showing shrines with ceramic rocks that include gemstones and the poems enlarged and hung on the wall. They are based on rituals for grievance and love. I’m also showing the Europa art piece and two other pieces that include poems. I’ll post pics soon after.

Wow, sounds great…and really interesting. Pics please indeed. Sounds symbiotic, imagine the words conjure the images more readily. The theme sounds interesting for the show. Did you hear of the practice the Victorians had of putting little bells in the coffins of the departed ‘safety coffins’, for fear of being buried alive? That none acceptance of grief and death. Ritual practises are interesting!

I think I have heard of the bells in the coffins. I love bells…I should incorporate them in a new piece…since I do mix media. That book The Wild Edge of Sorrow was a big inspiration and a movie I saw a long time ago and my own grief. Ritual practices are interesting! Were you raised catholic? I know from your writing you seem to accept all types of spiritual practices.

Just checked the book out on Goodreads, seems very interesting; can imagine it would lend well to something creative. What movie was it too? Glad you’re channelling the grief (even if archived) in a cathartic fashion. I wasn’t really raised any denomination…urm religiously. Would be Church of England, but it’s the lazy practise in England that everyone is assumed to be unless otherwise stated. Well growing up in the 80/90s at least. I find Religion hugely interesting and emotive. How about you?

The movie was called, Until Human Voices Wake Us. Their is a scene in the movie when a boy and a girl find this dead bird under a rock. She thinks it is poetic and romantic that someone placed the bird there. The girl is handicap (has braces on her legs). One night they are floating on their backs in a river and they see a falling star. The boy closes his eyes and wishes on it but he let’s go of her hand…since she is handicapped she gets sucked under one of the underwater caves. They never find her body. The boy is so grief stricken. He places a photo of them under that rock. He begins to repress all that happens until as an adult he has to go back to his hometown for his father’s funeral. And then interesting things begin to happen. Her spirit comes back in another women’s body. I think it is a great love story. Very emotive! And it is interwoven with the poem The Long Song of J. Alfred Prufrock by T.S. Eliot. Love that poem. Anyways, I was inspired by the rock scenario. I thought it was romantic, so I started making rock shapes from clay and incased images or objects in resin. Some with gemstones…ect.
That’s amusing about the lazy practice of the Church of England. I have a weird background in my experience with religion. My parents were raised as Catholic. And then switch to Charismatics until I was about 6. We would drift in out of churches. I would struggle in faith. Now, in my thirties, I’m drawn more to spiritualism. I think Buddhism is very beautiful and serene way of life. I feel reincarnation to be true. I’m just searching for more signs. Everything that my parents told me was wrong I feel more at peace with. I even believe in clairvoyance. Been a witness to it. Sorry for the long read…I get caught up in details . 🙂

Glad it inspired you, I’m always interested in where people get inspired. I like the idea of votive type offerings, and rocks and gems. Looking forward to seeing your exhibition pictures when all is up and successful!
I think a lot of people subconsciously rebel to the faith they’re brought up in. Spirituality is more open to people than the inclusive/exclusive nature of organised religion, which usually fragments and distances people. All the same light, just different lamps as the saying goes. I study Kabbalah and find that’s the only thing that’s ever worked for me. I’m just interested in all aspects of the ‘other’…and intrigued by your clairvoyance experiences.

I hope you like the movie. I’ve watched it with others and some thought it was a bit slow. But I love every bit of it. And I love HBC too! I love those first fiery feelings of when I get inspired and then when it all comes together I’m either content or sad that it’s gone. I do get inspired by films, movies, and music. But the best inspiration is from living, nature, and the cosmos! I enjoy hearing what inspires others as well. And I’m hoping all goes good for the show. I’ll def post pics.
I don’t much about Kabbalah except it is a type of Jewish mysticism. This might be a silly question…Are you Jewish? Like to understand more about it. And what I’ve experienced in the clairvoyant realm…people would just call it crazy.

I watched the movie last night. I liked bits of it. The pacing was the problem but I loved the idea and inception of the story. Kinda wanted it to stay with them as kids. HBC was great though, she reminded me of Kate Winslet in Eternal sunshine a little. It’s interesting what inspires people…thank god for imagination.
No, I’m not Jewish; it just revolves a lot around Judaism. Kabbalah would be the book you read while you roam around the Jewish house, using the taps and sleeping in their bed…so to speak. It’s very all-encompassing which I like, fosters togetherness and personal transformation. Makes you question your own actions without the guilt…and urges you to shift.
Ha! Crazy is good, we all go a little crazy sometimes according to Norman. I think clairvoyant things get a bad rap, a lot of people have intuition and senses…it’s just the frequency at which people experience them. Hope yours is beneficial…usually is there for a reason.
Lord, the EU exit is ridiculous and such a waste of energy. Just dividing people and wasting money. Has given platforms to people with small minds and selfish beliefs. Is a shame as people are stronger together than divided. The silver lining might be a huge billboard to the USA to refuse to allow Trump to get his clutches on the presidency.

I’m glad you like some of the movie…and I can’t argue with a film expert about plot problems. I took a film’s class for one day in college. I was totally confused. I felt like the professor was teaching intermediate level and not beginning.
Yeah, I don’t like how Christianity loves to focus on your guilt. I mean obviously we have those innate feelings for reasons but I don’t think it is right to have organizations keep perpetuating guilt or punishment. I always believed the God I would know would be very merciful and forgiving. I suppose the problem is we as humans don’t know how to treat ourselves like God does so therefore we treat others the same. Maybe, this is what you practice in Kabbalah? Idk, I don’t believe everything in the Old and New Testament to be ordained by God. I think man put his own perspectives in the books. But I always felt prayer keeps you closer to God and then he leads you to personal revelations found in the bible (living word) or other lamp shades.
Yeah, I’m Norman Bates crazy…haha…I hear voices and are those voices. Lol! No, my experiences not so bad. Could be considered scary (especially early on in life) but it depends on the source or what is coming through. The universe can’t not exist with only the positive but I feel the negative energies can teach us but we must protect ourselves. Too much of anything always destroys.
I’m sorry for England. I wish they could reverse their choice or the Queen or Prince C actually have a say. I imagine great Brits like Thom Yorke flipping his shit over this. I don’t want England to isolate themselves…they offer Europe and the world so much. I feel so saddened over it. And if Trump supporters or just the full GOP don’t see this is the exact situation that will happen to us…then we are doomed. I agree, I don’t think God can be/should be manipulated into humanistic agendas. (Punishment etc). Kabbalah teaches the basic rule of treating others like you would like to be treated and to become more like god through transformation. Stripping away the crap of our lives that bog us down in the material world. Organised religion has too narrower a view I find. I like your notion of prayer. Does elevate the soul and lifts a few coverings.
Intrigued by the encounters. You cannot have light without the dark, but protection is a wise move…and knowledge. I don’t like the streamlined psychic-ness, ready to order by clicking an app. Not far removed from Miss Cleo. True connection can be amazing I imagine. Do you still get them now?
I think there is a lot of call for the reversing, but isn’t really fair…if the other way it would be refused I imagine. I would guess the Queen was for it in the first place. Hehe, Thom Yorke; Imagine there’s a few albums fodder with the whole affair. My uncle is friends with him actually, and my grandpa used to go to Colin Greenwood’s house for tea (before he passed away), he lives up the lane from my grandparents. Oh Oxfordshire!

And yes, I have a contact but I really have to be the one engaging (it is only with one other now). The first early on times I didn’t open my mind to it and because I believe it was a bad source. I couldn’t really claim I’m a psychic. I just know or feel that a certain type of clairvoyance has happened to me. I did recently for the first went to a psychic and she was the one that actually confirmed to me that this one comes to me to comfort me. And that I’m the one that doesn’t listen….I think out of fear that I’m going crazy. My god, I can’t believe it is so nice to tell a stranger this. At least I don’t have to see your facial expression of “she is batty crazy”

The book of Formation is correct. I think if you have an interest in spirituality, you’ll find Kabbalah fascinating. The Zohar is both allegoric/poetic and practical. Yep, pray and meditate. And do yoga which makes the whole thing come together. Mental cleaning is always good.
And no, I find that interesting. I can imagine too many people have been labelled ‘crazy’ in the past when they’ve spoken about this, but now perhaps maybe more of an understanding with how it works. Spirit guides and other level connections are interesting to me, there is so much more than this material world. Can understand any reluctance previously though, it would freak me out also! Glad it’s coming under control and can benefit you now. Imagine this type of thing works on a ‘for the greater good, and others benefit’ anyway. But you’ll get the good karma come kicking back.

No not met the members myself, only a couple of gigs over the years. Helps growing up in the same town as they did a lot of local events. ‘Moon shaped pool’ is pretty good at the moment, and The Eraser is great to get into poetry head I find. My grandpa met him when he went out to walk the dogs, was funny when I heard.
Good to get lost with family sometimes, hope it was a fun weekend. Hopefully they are your biggest supporters. But yes, life does get in the way of creativity sometimes as much as it influences. Hope work isn’t’ too bad…what do you do? And thanks, I shall be doing all of that today…maybe even start painting at some point. Will see what the universe offers. I work in the ceramics industry in a laboratory as a technician. I work under a ceramic engineer. I enjoy it for the most part…something always could be worse or better. But I wish I could spend all my hours making my art, writing, and connecting more with the universe (like you are). But The United States make a huge profit off of college kids who can’t afford college on their own. And unfortunately I’m one of their victims. Money market, it is. Saddens me.
Yea, I always feel better when I have the time to do yoga and row. I was on a roll this winter with it but then I stopped to focus on art. But I yearn for all of it…I’m just bad about balancing my time.
That would cool to bump into Thom Yorke walking dogs. I wonder if he is still real aloof? Do you still hear Brits say, “God save the Queen.”
Yes, I love my family. They are wonderful and I do regret sometimes picking my creative times over them. But they know I need it.

I see, it sounds interesting at least; progressive. Have you been doing it long? Hopefully you’re soaking up a lot of information there. Is it putting your degree to use in any way? The USA seems to be elitist when it comes to education. And way too expensive.
It would be nice to have a passive income and be able to explore the creative side; be it writing or art or like you say, connecting more. My sabbatical from work is coming to end, gotta pay the rent in the end, so you’re not alone. Balancing becomes way more tricky when you have too many spinning plates, but some of it is unnecessary chaos, so is good to have a life spring clean once in a while and see what is draining you. Wow, rowing is pretty impressive. Very early starts though is the drawback there. Hehe. Been doing that long? Sure you bust your own chops more than you should, imagine you’re doing pretty well.
Haha, no not really. At least not in my circles. It’s a bit antiquated to be overly royalist or patriotic. There’s more of a culture of quasi ‘Englishness’, which is more introverted and self-praising, and frankly quite annoying. A lot of is linked to sports and competing, especially football. Though I have found myself using the phrase ‘jolly good’ once or twice, and sometimes not in jest.
Glad the family understand. As Virginia Woolf says, everyone needs a room of one’s own. Sure they acknowledge its importance and know you have to have time for you. Otherwise we become servient in however the nicest way that can be.
Aside writer, work wise I used to work at the BBC. I then moved across to work for Bloomsbury books. I’ve taken sometime out to work on my writing but I’m gearing up to begin my PHD shortly….if the funding comes together. That is not to discount the wide range of temping roles I have been a party to, luckily without hairnets and name badges – al la wayne’s world.LikeLike

I’ve been working at AMACO (American Art Clay Company) for eight years now. Yeah, it’s putting my Bachelors of Fine Arts to some use. I mean I’ve learn way more about the science of ceramics then what I ever would in art school. It’s just hard because I’m a conceptual artist…so daydreaming can happen frequently. But I know how to QC all glazes and crafts products. I’ve helped develop and reformulate glazes. I never understood algebra until my boss taught me.
And yes education in the USA is ridiculous. But I’m somewhat to blame. I studied photography first. I had only two semesters left to finish and dropped out for one semester. Thought I wanted to be an art therapist and got a minor in psychology. Then went back to art school thinking I was going to finish my photo degree but got sucked in ceramics and sculpture. Anywho, I was in school for six years and that added more interest.
What are you getting your Ph.D. in? That is incredible that you worked at the BBC! Whatcha do there? Are you an editor or get to read books all day at Bloomsbury?
Oh, now I have to be unimpressive and tell you I row on a row machine. Ha ha…um, only for a about a year but I dream of being really good one day to row in water. Sometimes I pretend that.

I’m sorry if I ever being an annoying American with my fascination with English phrases. I like to say bloody a lot. I adore English accents. I just learned that the British accent began in the early nineteenth century. Before that, you all sounded like us.

Good you can pluck from the mountain the pebbles of interest. The daydreaming is a good crux to get you through…you could ‘accidentally’ mix up the processes and materials one day and sit back and watch the comical and creative chaos unfold.
Ah the extended stay sounds pricey, but can’t be helped. Happened to me also. It takes time to find your path, and at least you got it done in the end. So many drop out and fall into the void of working at Krusty burger. Well done, and hopefully this is a stepping stone also. Plus, nice to have a job that pays…and is in your area of interest no matter how diluted.
BBC was a mix of content control and licenses for the asian markets. Got to watch a lot of tv…haha. Bloomsbury was for a magazine they had for British wildlife so me and editor ran the publication. Has closed now…well was sold off.
The rowing machine sounds like the dryer option…and nore climatised. I still tip my hat as it’s a tough exercise. Maybe you can download some river sounds and pretend. Or get someone to splash water from a bucket. Hehe. But any exercise is good. Glad you enjoy it.
I don’t find it annoying at all. I love the American accent, well not the southern one…that’s just too funny to love. Funny you like ‘bloody’, ‘bollocks’ is a good one too for an irritating moments. As long as you don’t like yhe cockney vocab…with that you’re on your own. Are you from the midwest? Is Indiana classed as mid-west? Noticed on twitter it’s Greenwood.

Yes, to admit in embarrassment I’m a Midwestern from Greenwood, Indiana. Not very classy, I know. We all speak I suppose with a centralized type of accent. Sometimes I sound like from the North and sometimes I sound like I’m from the South…I think I do sound funny and like a little girl. Hate hearing my voice.
Bollocks is a good too! We have a British man at my work. And I’m always asking him about British speech and Doctor Who. I love how you call speed bumps sleeping policemen. The cockney vocabulary is like My Fair Lady? Right? The hicks of your country?
The daydreaming has caused mistakes that turn into sometimes happy surprises. I’m always weighting dry chemicals to do small glaze testing. And if I’m interrupted or space out, I usually catch my mistake and either weigh it to see if it has the proper percentages or start over if I’m unsure I added the wrong chem. It almost happened to me today because I was thinking of poetry. The best thing to do is listen to music and helps me concentrate on manual work.
Watching tv for a living doesn’t sound too bad. I hope soon your heart will lead you in the right direction for your interests.
Have someone splash water on me sounds good. Lol! It can be, works all your muscles if you do it right and good on your joints then other aerobics. And I rather sit and workout after being at work on my feet a lot. I listen to music and helps me push on. I love yoga also…need to be better at doing both for sure.

Um, it’s okay, there some pretty spots and most of my family lives here. But I rather live someone else. I like to visit the west and east coast. Been around the Midwest and seen most of the South. I have a sister that lives there. And yes she has a southern accent. Lol! Like I said I would die to go overseas! I feel more European in the way I desire to live life. My ancestors haven’t been in America that long. I’m also liberal. But now England has taken a step back with the whole Brixton thingy. Any changes?
I sound absurd trying to do accents…especially the English. Like when I try to say,”very proper”…I think I sound so sophisticated but my siblings have told me otherwise.
He said Kent where the gravel pits are. Southeast…he doesn’t sound hickish to me though. I must not have British ear to tell the difference.
We do have chemicals that are combustible but we keep them in a special storage unit. What’s scary is we have a jar of ammonia in the lab for a special paint we make here. If it bust and we didn’t have gas mask on we could and probably would die. I never go near it and I’ve never seen it used.
Today, I did a silly thing. I was reprogramming a kiln board and I by habit hit start. I walked away and 15 mins later I come back and start to reach in to take a cup out. Then me and another coworker notice that is on at 172 degrees and on. If my hand would have touched the elements I would have shocked the hell out of my body. So, yeah things can be dangerous in this type of work. Always, checking things triple times and sometimes more.
I listen to all kinds of music. I’m not a fan of contemporary pop country, rap that is nasty towards women or meaningless lyrics, and screamo music. I mean I can handle Mudhoney screaming. When I work out I usually put it on Spotify playlist I create monthly. I love discovering new music. Most people say I listen to too much depressing music. I call it introspective music. I love Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, Billie Holiday, Bright Eyes, Portishead, Mark Lanegan, Mazzy Star….I mean the list goes on and on.
How about yourself? I’ve seen on Twitter you like Madonna and Brandy. I listened them when I was a teen. Try to dance like Madonna…sucked at it.
I’m not a morning person so morning exercise usually never happens. Only a couple occasions I’ve done it. Like when I’ve drank too much the night before…a few times I have ran because I had crazy thoughts of purging the poison I had ingested.
I suppose I’m a garthette foxy lady. I love his whole routine with that. 🤓 And of course Schwing! I like Mike Myers in the Austin Power movies.

Eek, apologies for the southerner comment. I just find it funny that’s all. Hehe. Europe is a great place to go for culture and to be inspired. The art and energy on display is just amazing. Every step can be a dream. I’ve just gotten back from Milan and was so inspired by what I saw. Amazing. I love Italy. But America has lots of things too, and places I would still like to see. New Orleans would be top of my list. Do you go to the coasts often? Where do your folks come from, do you know much about your ancestors? No change really in Britain, just more squibbing like children over things, and more legitimised racism. Sigh.
Kent is nice, and quite proper as things go. My friend lives in Canterbury there, very historic. Hick free I would say. I love accents, so fun hearing people try them. Australian is always fun to try…and Canadian.
The Ammonia sounds scary. The forbidden jar, the Pandora’s box of the workplace. I would be tentative around it too. Plus I’m clumsy so would not bode well. What would that be used for there then…or is to scare you all in to behaving? Do you think you’ll be in the role for long? Thank god for that co-worker. Sounds risky being around such earth core heat. The triple check sounds like a good call!
Good choices there, Billie Holiday is a fav of mine. I could see why some would label them ‘depressing’, but it’s nice to have something more lyrical. I did have to youtube Mudhoney there….fear I’m out of the loop on that one. Yep to Madonna. I went to see Brandy in London the other night, she was pretty good. I know what you mean about the running, I always used to think it was good to sweet out a feeling or something that’s bothering you. I hope the rowing is still enjoyed though.

No apologies needed…I thought it was funny too when my sister was developing her southern accent. Up Northern Indiana and Michigan they have more of a whiney accent. They say “you know” in interesting stuffy nose kinda way. Italy sounds very lovely. Have you been to Greece, Germany, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand….I suppose I should ask… Anywhere else in Europe? What about any Asian countries? I want to go to Japan. I love their food and art. I’ve been to New Orleans twice. Before Katrina and after. I had a lot of fun….especially the first time. Wild city! Great Cajun food and bright culture. Hannah, my sister lived in Louisiana for a couple of years. Pretty state. I love the cypress and Spanish moss trees. They are magical trees. I’m a lover of trees. When my sister first moved south she lived in Pensacola, Florida and that was my only experiences with the coast. One year she lived in Gulf Breeze an island off of Pensacola. She took us to place on the beach where the sand bar came up close. It was secluded and very beautiful. I think it is gone now from hurricane Ivan. She lives in South Caroline now. I was suppose to visit her this past spring and she she going to take me out to the Atlantic coast…other stuff came up. I want to go to New York and everywhere in the West. Everywhere in Cali especially, San Cruz, San Francisco, LA, and Longbeach. I want stay on the Queen Mary. My Mom was born in South Bend, Indiana. My Dad was born on Long Beach, New York. But my Grandma moved back to South Bend with her new husband (my Grandfather). He wasn’t my Dad’s biological father. My Dad didn’t find out until he was going to marry my Mom. It’s a crazy story. So my last name which is very German is not mine by blood. And my Dad never asked. I do know that my great-grandparents came from Poland and spoke fluent Polish. I heard my great-grandfather fought for the Kaiser in World War 1. I’m not really sure if I’m proud of that but I love their last name. Saharski (I use it as a pseudo name). My Mom side is a big mix. Her Great-Grandfather was Greek and came over here on a boat of course. On her side their is Belgium-French, Irish (grins), German, and Native American…so only my Native ancestors have been here since birth. No polish jokes…please. 🙂
We make paint there called Genesis (plastic based) and they sometimes use it for something in that. Idk, really. The guy technician QC’s the paint but I’ve never seen him get it out. He has just warned me and told me where it was at. There’s like foam all around it so the glass won’t break. We misbehave all the time. Heheehe! And I’m sure I’m a bigger klutz then you. I spill something literally daily. I get tired of having to clean up my messes. I like that phrase “earth core heat” sounds good for a poem. 🙂 The coworker was actually my older sister. I got her a job there last year. Idk, how long I want to be there. I mean I’m artist that would love to do her art all day. I get perks there. Like free products and free kiln firings. The pay is not too bad and can’t quit on the whim because of my student loan debt. I mean I sometimes think what else I would be good at…and I’ve only got the idea of getting certified as a herbalist. But I don’t know where I would go from there. I just like learning about herbs and how they are good for you. I had professors pushing me to get my masters but really didn’t want to be a professor of art. And I couldn’t defer my private loans at that time. Now I can, but it would have to be very well worth it…for I would increase my mountain of educational debt. What are you trying to get your Ph.D in?
That’s funny you YouTube Mudhoney. They were considered to be the first grunge band. They are notorious for being bad that makes them good. I have to be in a certain mood to listen to them. I wonder what song you listened to? I like REM, early Sheryl Crow, and yes the Rolling Stones! I saw them in concert last 4th of July at the race track. It was spectacular! That concert, Radiohead (twice) and Pearl Jam (twice) are my fav concerts. Um…their was a local band a few years back called Slothpop that I liked. I had some friends in high school and college that played music…not in stable bands though. No one recent. My dad and brother are musically talented.
I rowed last night and really enjoyed it. I had watch an episode A house of cards last night and Kevin Spacey was rowing. I was geeking over his awesome row machine…so I went and row. I hope I heal fast from my surgery so I can start up serious again.
I got some work done this week for the show. I’m hoping to finish it all for my three day weekend. Monday, Americans get to celebrate independence from the English. Lol! Sounds silly anymore.

I saw something earlier about this and I was actually thinking today I really need to move forward with her story. She’s been in that summer meadow too long and tomorrow is the first day of autumn. I’m definitely working on that for my next poem.LikeLike
