Into the Skin of Europa (series)

Skin’s Deceit: Into the Skin of Europa (part 2.)

An image on the oval.                                                                                                                                     A great lack luster view,
That was printed in the memory                                                                                                           Of June.                                                                                                                                                               A stark-white body of an ex-lover;                                                                                                         She really never knew.
A birdsong as an alarm,
For a summer morning.

Nadiah makes the decision not to                                                                                                         Wilt underneath the covers,
And stumbles to the bathroom.
In hopes, that sleep made her                                                                                                               Skin iridescent like a candy wrapper.
Perhaps, even she transformed Into
An ancient siren, with a magical
Sparkling blue-green fin!

But once more she sees that reality
Has won again and, that were her feet
She used to go stare at the same
Old stains.
Thin long reddish lines meet her                                                                                                     Tender blue topaz eyes.
She has to empathize with herself                                                                                                         That she is special.                                                                                                                                             Not being refined like her sisters,                                                                                                 Doesn’t mean she needs to give
Into dusk’s torture.
Where she sleeps with men
That don’t sleep next to her.
And where she pretends that she                                                                                                           Will soon arrive at love.

    • Yes, she won’t ache forever…her story begins sad but I’m hoping it will end happy. She finds out that she is an alien and gets to go home eventually. The first poem begins with her digging into her past “life piercing into life” this is where she is finding out that she’s an alien from Europa through a dream. I need some middle content obviously right now. But I finally found her name, Nadiah!
Thank you! I’m glad I could reach you there…lol!
What do you think will make her better?

      • Yes! Hazah to the name, did it find you?
Maybe she’s lived before, and remembers more than just her origins…..
I think healing touch is what she needs. Someone to undertsand and be there. Like humans, we all want something so delicate. Excellent name by the way.

      • Yes and no…I was searching for any name that had Na in it…because she is part me. And I I remembered it from a tv character. But once I had it I knew it was hers! Oh, yes a past live but in a parallel universe of Europa and the red scars are from that life. Yeah she needs a real kind of love besides her family and flings. Yes a healing touch for sure. Thanks for your input! πŸ™‚

      • Sounds like she’s dropping the layers, cannot wait to see where she heads too. Isn’t evolution amazing!
