Rain-Starred Tara (Green Tara Mantra | Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha)

She opens that samsara door

Her rain-stars wash out the darkness
She holds those divine violet flames,
to transmute these tired candles
into the sacred reassurance….
We have the way, as Tara, for stars wear no veils…

My drawing of a bodhisattva is a work in progress of a ceramic shrine. She looks like Green Tara with the greenish cast, but in the final painting she will be in her role as Blue Tara. I’m portraying
her in the process of enlightement/transmutation of breaking the samara’s cycle. In this context the nautilus being symbolic of the cycle. Her spiral chambers expansion of rebirths released by the violet flame or dharma completed. The expansion of spiritual energy only remaining. The nautilus for me, also symbolic of Tara as “The Mother of all Buddhas” and “She brings us to the shore.” The oleander around her breast is, “the feminine face of god ” and the blue lotus, of course meaning enlightenment.

    This/these are amazing. I love the sacred reassurance. The artwork is wonderful, the poise that flutters between sadness and serenity is beautiful. Like she’s sad, not to be changing, but that it took too long to get to the point of enlightenment. The mantras are lovely too.

      Thank you! Yes, maybe that’s true about the sadness and serenity in her expression. Maybe also showing the humaneness, errors, surrender, and eventually grace to move towards enlightenment, there as well. I wanted to show a merciful/compassionate expression while she is praying/transmuting the portal of samsara. For a bodhisattva is one that helps the lost and distress.
      I love these mantras too. Been listening to them while meditating and the Tibetan monk’s mantra moves me to tears. I feel in his voice all the love and devotion passing in the wavelengths of time. I’ll send you a sneak peek of my progress with the mother of pearl nautilus behind her head.

        This is great soulful and personal work, the labour of love is shining through. What scale is it being painted on? And yes, i get that with some kabbalah prayers/meditations. The grounding of the Om sound also speaks on such a different frequency. I can see you going on a pilgrimage soon!

        8×10 or 11″ don’t recall. But she will be cutout out to eventually float between layers of resin on the ceramic shrine. Like the others I’ve done, but she is the first watercolor I’ve used for this technique for.
        I hope so, I think everything that has lead me up to this point is all for spiritual growth.

        Excellent, i’m glad it’s opening new techniques and ways to be brought to life. The Ana Bekoach is my fav one, is one of the corner stones too and grounds everything. But i’ve added your ones to my meditation playlist…no to find the time to do it 🙂
